Additional The Law Information

Frederic Bastiat's arguments against socialism are as valid today as when first published in 1850. 2 cassettes.

What Customers Say About The Law:

Bastiat makes the case that socialism/communism/marxism/statism, whatever you want to call it, has been around well over 200 years now. I'm amazed when I read this type of material that man's inhumanity to man is nothing new. It hits the same stumbling blocks now as it did then. It may change its' name or be less or more violent but as humans, we always seem to organize in one of two ways. Those that want to tell others how to live and those that prefer self-direction. If you're looking for something that supports the argument that social governance vs. free government is wrong from a historical perspective, you'll find some support here.

Just what I expected. The book came in fine and dandy shape and in a timely manner.

The edition by BN Publishing is cheaper and half the price. I bought both, because I wanted to give out free copies. Buy the one by BN Publishing - it is just as good.

I get introduced to a couple crazy ideas about history predicting the mess we are in and I find things like "War is a Racket" and "The law" and I have to sit back and be amazed about how it took me 27 years to really look at how we got to where we are. This book was absolutely amazing. I read it now, as a 27 year old military veteran trying to make sense of what is going on in the free market and I see we don't even have a free market. So much wasted time thinking obscure thoughts for entertainment purposes. Thankfully things like that have stood the test of time for new generations to latch on to.

This small book highlights the importance of capitalism, balanced by the protection of people's true rights - i.e. safety, property, and freedom. Easy read and thought-provoking.
